What started with having an assistant has quickly turned into a vast universe that now encompasses different players! We are talking about the world of AI, where these days, there are a number of different AI players in the market. From ChatGPT to Claude AI, different AI platforms provide different help to people.

In this extensive market, a new player has recently stepped in: Janitor AI. Janitor AI is a unique AI platform that allows users to chat with different AI characters present on the platform. Every character on the platform has their own backstory and different ways of speaking, and users can easily use these characters to chat, for roleplay, and simply to entertain themselves. The fun thing about this platform is that there is no need for coding; rather, you are provided with your own personal virtual friends.

Introduction to Janitor AI

Launched in 2023, Janitor AI is a kind of AI chatbot platform meant for making and talking with really detailed AI characters. And, unlike a lot of other services, it lets you craft personas and chat with them with almost no content limits or, at least not the same kind of limits.

Even if it’s mostly for entertainment, it still kinda stands out because the character customization is more advanced than you’d expect. People can set a bot’s personality on purpose, its speaking manner, and even its “secret” internal thoughts. So yeah, Janitor AI becomes a pretty strong option for writers and creators who want to test character dialogue, or brainstorm story beats, in a calmer no-pressure space.

Another big part of what makes Janitor AI attractive is how simple it feels. Usually, building open and responsive conversational AI personas would take a lot of coding, plus prompt engineering know-how, but Janitor AI basically lowers that barrier for everyone.

Is Janitor AI Safe?

Janitor AI is generally considered safe for casual use. Your conversations are private by default, and they aren’t shown to the community unless you manually switch on the “Make Chat Public” option. However, like every other AI tool, it is recommended that users not share their real-world sensitive information with Janitor AI.

What Is Janitor AI Used For?

Most users end up spending most of their time on roleplay and creative writing. You can form a character that behaves like an anime protagonist, a knight, or really anything else, just to see how they answer you. In general, you can talk about a lot of topics without being constantly stopped by hard filters, as long as you use Janitor AI’s internal model (JanitorLLM).

But it’s not only for “chatting around.” Writers often use it to brainstorm plot points, sharpen the character dialogue, or check whether a story’s tone feels right. Since the AI is built around storytelling, it tends to be useful when you’re stuck and you want to undo writer’s block, kind of fast, in a creative assignment.

Some people also treat it like a language tutor, doing role-plays for daily situations so they can practice a new language without the usual stress.
